A dog missing for two months has been rescued by a team of cavers. Their purpose was particularly challenging due to the construction of the buildings, reports positive-info.

Nearly two months after she went missing on June 9, a dog named Abby was found and rescued by cave divers on August 6.

During the chase of Abby, how did her family not notice that she got lost and ended up in a cave? Only she could give an affirmative answer to this request. Although it has access to water, freshwater fish and crustaceans, it’s unclear how it managed to survive in this unfriendly and completely dark habitat.

However, experts stepped in to save the pup after learning that Tom Moore had been seen in an underground tunnel between Brewer and Perryville, Missouri. The caving crew included Rick Haley and Gerry Keene. They went straight into the 35-kilometer maze. Eventually they found the animal, but rescuing it was not an easy task.
They pressed Abby into a two-foot opening and climbed the 500-foot rock face.

Beeler Fire Department Deputy Chief Robert Calhoun was outside to help them. Together, the pair scoured the area looking for the dog’s owner. Once they find the correct address, they can enter. Abby’s owners are devastated that they have given up hope of ever seeing their dog again after Abby’s disappearance for so long. After returning home, the dog was at ease as he recovered from his ordeal.
