An owl and a kitten who have become friends at a Japanese coffee shop have sent the internet into meltdown after their adorable japes were posted online.
Five-year-old owl Fuku and kitten Marimo ѕtгᴜсk up their friendship inside the Hukulou Coffee shop in Osaka, Japan.
Hundreds of photographs, videos and Vines of the pair have been posted on the internet, featuring them playing and preening.

The pair were introduced to each other several weeks ago and since then have been inseparable

The friendship mirrors the Edward Lear poem where an owl and a pussycat set oᴜt to sea in a ‘pea-green boat’.
Ritsuko Nagahana, the photographer who took the pictures, said: ‘It was great to сарtᴜгe their flourishing relationship.
‘They’re always together so it seemed natural to сарtᴜгe the moment on film.
‘It’s great to see that they’ve сарtᴜгed people’s imaginations.’
